My name is Michael Ashley. I have been a Delaware Notary Public since May, 1999. I am a current member of the American Society of Notaries (ASN), National Notary Association (NNA), and the United States Mobile Notary Association (USMNA). Through the National Notary Association when I became a Notary Public, I successfully completed the “Notary Home Study Course” and through the American Society of Notaries, I completed the “American Notary Study Course”. These were wonderful BASIC study courses in addition to knowing and staying current with the State of Delaware Notary Public laws so I know what are the authorized duties that I can perform here in Delaware. You can view the current notary laws on the State of Delaware website: www.Delaware.gov. Once on the website, SEARCH “Notary Public”, SELECT ‘State of Delaware – Notary Public Home Page’, Under “INFORMATION” in the left margin column, SELECT ‘Statutory Provisions’, then towards the bottom of the this page, you can CLICK to VIEW the Delaware Code.
The Delaware Notary Association is the State of Delaware’s #1 website dedicated to the Professional and Casual Delaware Notaries Public.
This website is dedicated to serve the Delaware Notary Public with education, supplies, opportunities to network their notarial experience/skills and up to date notary news.
It is my goal that the Delaware Notary Association be an association for the Delaware Notaries Public. When each document has been notarized by the Delaware Notary Public, the constituents/public can be assured that the signer is NOT an imposter and any contracting parties can be assured that the document has been signed and no other will have full force and effect.
Secondly, I want to promote the Expertise and Exposure of the Delaware Notary Public to the public and promote the marketing of the Delaware Notary Public to all constituents and businesses/corporations within and outside the State of Delaware who are looking for a Delaware Notary Public who need their services (whether it be notarizing a paper document or notarizing a document electronically).
Also, I would like to have a “Delaware Notary Public Reference Network” to where Delaware Notaries Public can share their notary experiences, share their notarial knowledge with other notaries and periodically host networking sessions that would have an agenda to better serve the Delaware Notary Public. Please contact me with your notarial questions/concerns and thoughts. I will get you the correct answer/procedure as it relates to the Delaware law or direct you to the proper authority.
I welcome any comments, thoughts and suggestions that you may have to improve this association. If you want to broaden your horizons as a Delaware Notary Public, please feel free to be a part of the Delaware Notary Association. There is no cost to be added to the Delaware Notary Association’s email listing so I can share notarial questions being asked by other notaries. Our future goal is to publish some type of “Notary Newsletter” to be of assistance to each notary. Please contact us via email or by phone. Contact information can be found on the “Contact Us” navigational page.
